We are a young family living in Ellerslie with our three lovely baby girls (born August 2013, February 2015 and July 2017).
We moved into our house before we were married and filled it with all of our odd bits and pieces from our flatting days. We married in May 2012 at The Estate on Waiheke Island.
We found setting up a registry a challenge. We couldn't find the perfect solution for us but knew that a registry was a good idea to give our friends and family some suggestions of what we really wanted if they were going to give us a gift, and to make the logistics easy for them. Although we didn't expect our guests to give us gifts, we were very spoilt and the odd bits and pieces were replaced by fantastic gifts that we will treasure forever and that will always remind us of our special day.
We then started thinking about how we could set up a new online wedding registry service that would have been the perfect solution for us. We wanted it to be online so you could set it up from the comfort of your own home and so it was available NZ wide. We wanted it to be easy for us and easy for our guests with free gift wrapping and the logistics managed by the provider from start to finish, for free. We wanted quality and to be able to add gifts from anywhere, not just those supplied by the store. We wanted it to be free without any hidden costs and with free shipping for our guests. And, we wanted it to fit with the creative style of our wedding.
So we created Orchid & Grove. Why the name? Well, Orchid was a bar on Ponsonby Road where we had our awkward but relaxed first date way back in 2007 and Grove from our surname. We like it.
We aim to provide you an online wedding registry service that ticks all the boxes and we would love to be a part of your special day. Please drop us a line if you have any queries.
Remember, if there is something that you would like but we don't currently offer, let us know and we will do our best to source it for you.
We wish you all the best for your special day.
